From Heathrow by public transport take the Piccadilly Line to Hammersmith, change to the District Line and take a Richmond train. Allow 50 minutes. By taxi allow 30-40 minutes and expect to pay around £40.
From Gatwick take the Southern service (NOT Gatwick Express) to Clapham Junction; change here for South West Trains to Richmond.
There are two car parks adjacent to So What? - Richmond Station car park (TW9 2NA) is closest and charges £15 per day or £4 flat fee after 1600; two minutes’ walk past Richmond Station is a large NCP (TW9 1DN) which always has spaces details here
Premier Inn is 10 minutes’ walk and offers basic comforts at unbeatable prices (from £50)
The Shandon House Hotel is 5 minutes’ walk and tries to beat Premier Inn’s prices by not being a chain but being as every bit as clean and comfortable.
